Unforgettable
Experience
Our shop managers invite award-winning artists to create your tattoo. From fine lines to complete sleeves and body art, at Goons & Queens we strive to make every tattoo appointment a pleasant and unforgettable experience. We're happy to explain our process to you step by step.
Method
1. Consultation
Before scheduling a tattoo appointment, we offer you the opportunity to book a free tattoo consultation. During this no-obligation consultation, we can help you with your design and placement, and we'll inform you about the price and our artists. Of course, you can also book a tattoo appointment without a consultation. Want to know the price of your tattoo beforehand? Send us a message.
2. Deposit
To confirm your tattoo appointment, we sometimes ask for a deposit. This amount will later be deducted from the total cost of the tattoo. The deposit is used to reserve your spot in our schedule and to allow for any design preparations. You will always receive proof of deposit.
3. Design phase
After the consultation, we'll start designing your tattoo. This process can take some time, but it's often possible to create the design the same day as your appointment.
4. Preparation
On the day of your tattoo appointment, it's important to be well-prepared. Make sure you're well-rested, have eaten well, and are hydrated. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo area. If you have a long session with us, we'll make sure you have plenty to drink. For day sessions, we can also order food for you. Pillows and blankets are also provided.
5. Stencil and tattoo
Our artists always create a design on their iPad first. Once you've approved the design, the artist can digitally place it on your body. The artist takes a photo of your body and digitally transfers the design onto the photo so you can see how the tattoo will look. Once you're satisfied, a stencil is created. The stencil is transferred to your body, and once you're 100% satisfied with the placement, the tattooing process begins.
6. The tattoo experience
We strive to make you feel as comfortable as possible and will take regular breaks as needed. We encourage open communication, so if you experience any discomfort or pain, please let us know so we can help.
7. Aftercare instructions
After the tattoo is applied, we'll provide you with detailed aftercare instructions to ensure it heals properly. We'll explain how to clean, moisturize, and protect the tattoo to prevent infection and other complications. It's important to follow these instructions for successful healing.
8. Follow-up
Some tattoos require follow-up. Our staff will let you know. We offer no guarantees for tattoos on the hands, knees, feet, ears, or elbows. Our staff will also advise you to choose a different location, as tattoos in these areas fade quickly.
